Impetus Begets Impetus at Cloud Expo in New York

India-based Company Execs on Program at Javits Center

The Fifth International Cloud Expo opened at the Javits Center in New York on Monday, April 19, 2010, with a keynote from Oracle executives on how Cloud is now coming og age within enterprise IT. Cloud is also a global phenomenon, as is Cloud Expo.

Witness the appearance of India-based company Impetus, which has built extensive expertise throughout the SaaS/IaaS/PaaS spectrum, and in which has also developed best practices for developing new applications for and migrating legacy applications to cloud infrastructures.

News of the company's participation at Cloud Expo crossed the Indian newswires Monday morning, and is being widely reported throughout Asia. "Impetus offers architectural advisory, design, development and testing services. Impetus has proven expertise in large data solutions including open source Hadoop and proprietary solution consultancy, tuning, and deployments on Cloud.," the company said in an official statement.

Two Impetus speakers are featured on the program this week. Vineet Tyagi, Sr. Director of Engineering and R&D, and will speak about how cloud-based Hadoop deployments offer multi-fold efficiencies and benefits, and how Hadoop in the cloud provides on-demand computing, operational scalability, efficiency, cost, and local access to large data.

Pankaj Mittal, Sr. Vice President & CTO, Impetus be part of the Power Panel at the expo - "Who's Doing What (and Where) with Cloud Computing?" He was quoted in India as follows, with regards to his participation: "Cloud computing is the new reality where the world is shifting from product and high investment based economy to a service based economy. As an early adopter of cloud computing, we have undertaken intensive research in this area, especially in Hadoop, nCluster and related technologies, to provide better service to our clients."
